A seven months partnership with Bucharest JS community just concluded after delivering six successful events. Adobe Romania acted as a host, both at its headquarters, for live events up until March, as well as online, over the past few months. Bucharest JS is a community of over 2000 people passionate about JavaScript. Software engineers of both back-end and front-end roles discussed topics like 3D Rendering with R3F, SPAs and CI/CD Pipeline and Reactive Programming with RxJS.
Bucharest DevOps, a community launched and driven by Razvan Caciula, Director of Engineering for Adobe Experience Manager, brings together speakers like software engineers, system administrators and web operations staff. A Cassandra workshop took place in March and participants were able to learn how to build an application on top of a NoSQL database. This was a hands-on experience, building a real application using the best developer tools for Cassandra. Focused on best practices in several languages: Java, Python, or NodeJS, Cassandra experts were present for their expertise.
A company built on collaboration shares knowledge outside office walls
The company’s strong culture on collaboration emerges through local monthly knowledge sharing meetings. Dozens of employees gather to share the latest updates on technologies used, design or product architecture. These meetings are organized to keep information flowing within different teams and even business units.
Just like Adobe Romania uses these meetings internally to share knowledge and create a transparent workplace, employees like to extend this processing event outside the company. Every quarter, the company contributes at several local, as well as international conferences with presentations on software development.
Dan Popescu (Site Reliability Engineer), Iulian Titiriga and Constantin Muraru (Software Engineers) attended Spinnaker Live Conference with two presentations. They talked about Adobe Audience Manager and how the right tools make it possible for engineers to automize their deployments using Spinnaker. A second presentation focused on creating an automation ecosystem on top of Spinnaker for deploying large scale infrastructures for Adobe Experience Platform.
This year, over 70 employees acted as mentors or judges for two prestigious global contests: Technovation and Innovation Labs.
