Romania’s leading Banca Transilvania posts 26.8% higher net profit in first half of 2026
In the first six months of the year, Romania’s leading bank, Banca Transilvania (BVB: TLV), recorded a net profit of RON 2.5 billion, 26.8% above the level recorded in the same period last year, according to a press release.

In the first six months of the year, Romania’s leading bank, Banca Transilvania (BVB: TLV), recorded a net profit of RON 2.5 billion, 26.8% above the level recorded in the same period last year, according to a press release.
The BT Group's assets reached RON 233.3 billion as of June 30, 2026, up 4% from the end of last year and 12.1% compared with the same period of the previous year. Loans and net leasing receivables granted to customers reached RON 115.7 billion, up 8.4% from the end of 2025 and 14.8% compared with the first half of last year. At the same time, the gross loans-to-deposits ratio increased to 68.5%, 3.8% above the level at the end of last year.
